Come run with us and see our city
Our Design Director, Carlo Guidi, is part of a running group representing inkdesign, along with John Gilbert Architects, the GIA, JM Architects and Hoare Lea. The enthusiastic team are offering guided running tours through various parts of the city. The tours aim to show the ways in which Glasgow is changing to meet the ambitions of the COP26 Conference. Stops along the route will focus on aspects of sustainable design, ranging from retro fit to new build and will look at commercial, residential and community projects. The event will be supported by RIAS and SEDA.
The run is suitable for all levels and Carlo ensures us that he’ll be at the back of the pack making sure everyone gets around safely (that’s his excuse anyway). Dressing for the Glasgow weather is important. These are early morning runs, starting at 7am. There are 3 core routes of about 10km/6miles to choose from. We intend to take between 60 and 90 minutes for each run, getting you back in time for starting your day. The start might be in darkness but most of the route is well lit by streetlamps and the run leaders will also have headlamps.
This is set to be a fun and relaxed event and we warmly welcome anyone interested in joining us. Conference visitors and participants, as well as locals are being encouraged to take part, so you may well make some interesting contacts along the way.
We promise to bring good banter and insightful knowledge of the city. The run programme kick starts on Monday 18th October and lasts for four weeks. Join us for one leg or throughout the whole month, the choice is yours.
